Cosmopolitanism, Human Rights Law; European Union Institutions and Citizenship; Political Theory and Philosophy. Joanna earned her B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science and M.A. in Political Science, and is currently working on her Ph.D. in Government. In 2010, she has published a monograph based on her Master’s thesis entitled, The Cosmopolitan Ethos: Foucault on Freedom, Subjectivity, and the Power of Resistance. Her current interests focus on the role of the European Court of Human Rights in promoting cosmopolitan legal norms regimes. Joanna is a 2013-2014 US-UK Fulbright Award Recipient.
